Take your time this week...

This week we're taking a moment to breathe after all nine episodes have aired for The Last of Us. Before you jump into the next thing or making conclusions without digesting everything... May I suggest this very fine episode of the School of Moxie podcast? Just like a fine wine (which we also talk about this week 🍷), this episode shows us just how beautifully all of these ideas and perspectives have aged like the good stuff.

Stephanie's episode is very special because, as you'll hear in the episode, we got together to record this in and around our birthdays in July. In fact, it was the invitation to have Stephanie on my podcast that kicked off the travel-to-record-in-person thing. When I realized that yes, I did want to be in Nice to record (and then found a studio seemingly overnight), I knew it was meant to be!

Have a listen with us this week to digest everything you've been hearing and watching with us so far this season. Stephanie gives us some beautiful framework because she's living the expat life in France. Her perspective of being part of it but being on the outside is deeply resonant.

Quote from the episode

I think the curiosity for me is a response to then say, “May I invite you to think about what are the reasons why you can't or won't do it?” And of course, there are the realities of people's lives where they have dependents who need them. They have commitments, they have aging parents, they have, you know, communities, they have comfort zones. But the individuals who may not have the same constraints, who may actually have that freedom; And, and in particular, those individuals, when I speak to them, it's fascinating because I do think it's an invitation to explore fear and fear in our own lives.
